The Hamilton Association
The Hamilton Association is run by parents of children in The Hamilton School. The Association is organised by a Committee of Parents who have volunteered to meet on a monthly basis to assist the School in managing events, participate in fund raising for the school and charities alike and ensuring both children and parents are brought together socially. Funds are then used to assist the School as well as treats for the children.
Hamilton Association meetings are generally held once a month and the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is to be held at the end of September each year. Self voting forms to nominate will be sent out to all parents prior to the AGM and volunteers are received from willing participants. Although the AGM is held annually, new recruits are always welcome.
The monthly meetings are not just for Committee members – got an idea or a suggestion come along and let us know or simply join in. Current members have volunteered from all age groups and all classes within The Hamilton School from Early Years through to Senior Primary.
Although these parents have volunteered we are always looking for Volunteers who are willing to sign up to the Hamilton Association Volunteers List. If you are willing to sign up for approximately 2 hours per school year and would be happy to be called upon, we would love to hear from you. What does the Hamilton Association contribute to the school?

Assist at open days to welcome visitors and give details of the School.

Helping and aiding new families.

Help in the organising and delivering of family fun days..

Coffee to go – help collect donations for Coffee to go during drop off time in the mornings.

Prizes – purchase prizes from Hamilton Parent Association funds for Easter bonnet parade, Halloween pumpkin, decorate the Christmas tree competitions, etc.

2nd Hand Uniform Sales – collect, sort and sell on articles of school uniform at reduced costs.

Book Sales – collect, sort and sell class books at reduced costs as donated.

Sports Day – provide and prepare strawberries and cream teas at annual sports day.
